NRC, Freelance Journalist.

ARE YOU A FREELANCE JOURNALIST RESIDING IN TIMOR-LESTE LOOKING FOR INTERESTING CHALLENGES?

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has been working in Timor-Leste since November 2006, supporting the Timorese government in humanitarian assistance to IDPs, within shelter, camp management and youth training. Most recently, NRC has also started with school reconstruction of up to 30 schools in rural areas and (on the job) on site teacher training at these schools.

Are you:

  • An experienced writer/journalist, with knowledge about humanitarian or development assistance?
  • Capable of writing in perfect English for a non-academic reader in an eloquent manner?
  • Capable of keeping deadlines?
  • Willing to see the details in things, to express the outcomes and the impact of humanitarian and early recovery assistance as provided by NRC and partners?
  • A networker?
