JOB DESCRIPTION OR DUTIES:
Under the general supervision of the Chief of Multimedia and the immediate supervision of the Video Producer, the incumbent will be responsible for the production of video products including public service announcements, features and stories for the television programme, ‘Ba Pas’, as well as to provide support for production of documentaries for local use;
Research, write, produce and broadcast television feature/documentary programs in Tetun on the activities of the United Nations and development partners. He/She will initiate contact and liaise with substantive departments of the United Nations System and other relevant sources on topical issues for television programming; Conduct interviews, gather materials; Undertake relevant research within and outside the UN, and field assignments to generate original materials and other actuality for programming; Contribute ideas to program planning and promotional efforts; Undertake travel assignments as and when required.

Professionalism Strong skills in Radio Broadcast Journalism; Good research and analytical skills; Ability to make effective on-air presentations; Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure; Critical thinking skills. Communications Demonstrated communication skills (spoken, written, public speaking and presentation); Speaks and writes clearly and effectively; listens to others, correctly interprets messages from others and responds appropriately; asks questions to clarify, and exhibits interest in having two-way communication; tailors language, tone, style and format to match audience; demonstrates openness in sharing information and keeping people informed. Planning and organizing - Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and sometimes work under pressure. Technological awareness – Knowledge of and experience in video production equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Completion of secondary education; supplemental training and certifications in video/ television production, journalism, communications, public information, or a particular communications medium is an asset.
Experience: A minimum of Six (6) years of experience in television/ video production as a news writer/producer, camera operator, production assistant, or in communications or public relations. Hands-on practical experience in producing for television is essential.
Languages: Fluency in English and Tetum is required, Portuguese and Bahasa Indonesia is desirable.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking individuals interested in an Engineering career in the Oil & Gas industry. Our trainees will be working in the offshore oil & gas industry with our international alliance partner, WorleyParsons. These positions are a significant multi-year career development opportunity. This is a shore based engineering design project operating from our Dili office. The trainees will be engaged in the production of the maintenance engineering and design requirements for the Bayu-Undan offshore platform.
Work activities will include:
·         Assisting in the production of mechanical engineering design drawing and documents
·         Back drafting of design drawings from mark-ups
·         Assisting in the production of conceptual layouts and site surveys
·         Completion of a multi-year comprehensive competency based training program

To be successful in this role you will require:
·         Mathematics and Computing skills 
·         Proficiency with written and spoken English language
·         Completion of relevant tertiary level engineering or design certificate, diploma or degree in a related field
·         Industry specific experience is desirable, but not essential
·         Experience in 2D and 3D computer design/modelling software is desirable, but not essential
·         Interpersonal skills to work productively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other disciplines.

-          Conduct participatory disaster risk assessment in target villages
-          Plan, implement, monitor and supervise disaster risk management activities at community level 
-          Develop capacity of field staff and target communities in the areas of community-based natural resource management, disaster preparedness and risk reduction
-          Assist to strengthen disaster management committees at suco, sub-district and district levels
-          Coordinate with other stakeholders working in the DRM sector at different levels

-          Coordinate with farmers groups to establish linkage with MAF Extension Officers

-          Assist Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to prepare progress report
-          Assist project team to facilitate trainings related to data entry and management

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
-                      Senior high school and technical school graduate
-                      Excellent familiarity with basic operations of the computer
-                      Confident in using Excel and database management
-                      Good training and facilitation skills
