HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT LIAISON OFFICER

New Zealand’s International Aid and Development Programme (NZAID) wishes to contract a Human Resources Management Liaison Officer to support its work in the Ministry of Education Capacity Building Programme. 

The Liaison Officer will work as part of a team with international advisors and language assistants.  He/she will support international Human Resources Management Advisors to establish and strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Education’s Human Resources Directorate.

The Human Resources Management Liaison Officer will ideally have:
  • A tertiary qualification, preferably in human resources or management
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programmes
  • Experience in development and use of human resource management systems
  • An understanding of government administrative systems
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to work as a team
  • Excellent Tetum and English language abilities

The position is for a period of up to one year, and may be extended based on performance and the needs of the programme.

NZAID, Language Assistants (2 Posts), Deadline February 22, 2010.


LANGUAGE ASSISTANTS

New Zealand’s International Aid and Development Programme(NZAID)wishes to contract language assistants to support its work in the Ministry of Education Capacity Building Programme. Language assistants will work alongside technical advisors on the programme.


Language Assistants

Language Assistant positions are available based in Dili, with some travel to the districts.  Some Language Assistants positions will need to spend considerable time in one of the Regional Offices in Baucau, Maliana, Oecusse or Ainaro.

Language assistants will have very good written and spoken Tetum and English.  They will be able to interpret and translate, and be competent with Microsoft Word and Excel.  Written and spoken Portuguese would be an advantage, but is not a requirement.


Senior Language Assistant

One Senior Language Assistant position is available, based at Ministry of Education National Office.  The Senior Language Assistant will have very good written and spoken Tetum, Portuguese and English.  They will be able to interpret and translate at a high technical level.  The Senior Language Assistant will also assist the other language assistants develop their language skills

These positions are available for a period of up to one year, and may be extended based on performance and the needs of the programme.
