Deputy Country Director – Programs

Fixed Term, Two Year Accompanied Appointment

The Deputy Country Director - Programs (DCD-P) will manage the joint Oxfam program in Timor-Leste. The DCD-P will ensure effective coordination and learning between thematic and district based teams and partners and provide leadership on capacity building strategies for communities, partners and Oxfam program staff. The DCD-P will directly input into program development strategies, provide strategic direction for the program and ensure high quality monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting.

A minimum five years experience in designing and leading high quality, integrated rural development programs and demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and mentoring a diverse team is required. Plus a relevant degree (Masters preferred) and proven success in coordinating and integrating thematic work and teams into one coherent program with impacts at multiple levels.

Deputy Country Director – Operations

Fixed Term, Two Year Accompanied Appointment

The Deputy Country Director - Operations (DCD-O) is a senior management position, managing the four key areas of Oxfam’s operations in Timor-Leste; Finance, Administration, Logistics and Security. The position will provide leadership and management of all four of the operations functions and will ensure that effective capacity building takes place, both internally and with partners.

At least three years experience in a senior management position is required; including a demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a diverse team across finance, logistics, information technology and administration.

An accredited accounting degree, CPA/CA or equivalent is essential, as is extensive experience in project accounting and demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic and operational planning.
