Project Coordinator Plan Timor-Leste
In support of its current growth, Plan Timor-Leste wishes to recruit a Project Coordinator for the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Program. Plan is an NGO that works in over 45 countries to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of children, young people and families. It has been working in Timor-Leste since 2001. Responsibilities The Project Coordinator reports to the District Coordinator and is responsible for the following:
Selection Criteria
The successful candidates will have the following skills, qualifications and personal attributes:·
Experience in Project Planning, preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and documentation and reporting to concern advisors
Graduate of or attended at least 2 years of a related course on Education, Social Sciences, Social Work and Community Development
At least has two years experience in development work
Has knowledge of participatory development processes, interactive methodologies and of related children’s laws in Timor-Leste
Computer literate and, possess strong networking, organising and communication skills.

- Facilitating the delivery of education-related interventions
- Overseeing the efficient implementation of Plan’s delivery of Education/WES related intervention in Aileu District
- Take lead role to provide required and adequate information to the teachers, parents, students and community
- Coordinate to carry out the assessment of the projects
- Formating/strengthening parents and children’s groups in the schools
- Building of linkages with relevant government agencies and non-government organizations
- Training of teachers, parents and children
- Documentation of training processes and practices
- Conducting baseline surveys and related action researches
- Supervising staff assigned to the project
- Develop and conduct capacity building intervention, if necessary, with staffs
