ADMINISTRATION OFFICER AT ARTE MORIS FREE ART SCHOOL AND CULTURAL CENTRE

Arte Moris ‘Living Art’ Free Art School and Cultural Centre is looking to appoint an Administration Officer to the office team.

The School, based in Dili, was established in 2003 and is independently run. It carries out an art teaching programme, art development activities and external projects. The School is organised and run by the founding group of Artists. The Officer will report to and work closely with the Administration Manager and other members of the office team to carry out his/her role.

A summary of the job description is set out below:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day electronic and hard copy filing;
  • Creation of electronic documents as and when requested;
  • Setting up templates and providing dcumentation on a regular basis, such as timesheets;
  • Assisting in the operational activities of the School;
  • Assisting in the project management activities of the School;
  • Managing the processing of artwork from creation to sale;
  • Assisting in the administration of the teaching and art development programmes as requested;
  • Provide support in marketing activities, as and when requested;
  • Assist in managing aspects of the ICT system, such as regular file backing up

The requirements of the candidates applying for the position are set out below:

· Demonstrated successful management of both hard and electronic copy filing system;

· Skill in managing inventories, maintaining office equipment, and other orgnaisational assets, such as vehicles;

· Experience in assisting in the management of staff training needs, recruitment, and staff contracts;

· Ability to work and fully contribute to and within a team environment;

· Ability to plan and carry out his/her work programme with minimum supervision;

· Ability to manage his/her own time effectively;

· Competency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software programs;

· Written and spoken fluency in both Tetun and English;

· The production of two recent references (one employment related and one character reference)
