The Asia Foundation Timor-Leste (an International NGO) is currently seeking for candidates for the position of Communication Officer who will be responsible for supporting the GEC Program in the development of Proactive and Effective Communications.
Required qualifications:

- Post secondary education with a focus on professional writing, journalism, communications, public relations or equivalent work-related experience.
- Minimum two years communications or public relations experience.
- Demonstrated level of initiative and judgment in order to organize prioritize tasks and projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English or Tetum.
- Understanding of inter-related work process to be able to adapt to referring assignments.
- Provide routine information to coordinate the assignments and work procedures and others.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and pro-active performance style.
- Professional manner, tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with members, non-members, complainants and colleagues.
- Draws on a number of known options to solve problems and to develop improvements.
- Computer skills to produce effective spreadsheets, reports, documents and presentations, as required.
- Knowledge of marketing and communications principles, guidelines and best working practices.
- Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions. Able to work with diverse personalities and styles.
- Ability to function effectively and flexibly in a fast-changing work environment with multi-national staff and partner organizations.
