About the role
The position holder will lead the Resource Mobilisation Team in maintaining an adequate and appropriate level of financial resources (Sponsorships and Grants) and capacity of human resources (both staff and partners) to ensure the effective delivery of Plan Timor-Leste’s programs in line with its CSP.
The role is an unaccompanied post and based from the Country Office in Dili.
Main responsibilities
Country Resource Mobilisation Plan
Country Capacity Building Plan (for all Plan staff members and partners)
Resource Mobilisation Team annual plan and budget to ensure all programs are resourced/scaled-up appropriately
Manage and develop the Resource Mobilisation Team members
Maintains grants portfolio (with intent to pursue more strategic and longer term grants and framework agreements)
Ensures efficient Sponsorship operations and high quality communications
Coordinates the assessment and mobilization of potential partners
Participates in Country Management Team (CMT)
About you
Ideally qualified to University degree or equivalent in social science, international development, international relations or related discipline
Relevant demonstrated progressive experience as a development professional in planning, monitoring and evaluating programmes
Understanding of development issues and critical analysis of child poverty in addition to a clear insight into the country’s development issues, trends, challenges and opportunities and implications to community development
Experience in Grants management, including developing and writing grant proposals for major donors
Experience of working in a multicultural setting, including networking experience with development organizations in the country and at the international level
Languages
Fluency in English required
