A busy Timorese production business making specialized packaging and gifts is seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

National Production Supervisor/Manager

Terms of Reference:

Duties:

  • Supervise all Staffs in conjunction with the Office manager
  • Manage the business in conjunction with the Management Committee,
  • Report to the Board of Directors,
  • Liaise with clients and Government Departments regarding our Products
  • Liaise with Promoters of trade fair, etc., plus marketing as required
  • Supervise all Production
  • Organize stock requirements/supplies and ensure completion and delivery of orders
  • Liaise with clients re -orders and provide quotations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Management Experience (and/or a qualification in Business Management)
  • Good human resources and finance knowledge and skills
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Good Organizational and Time Management Skills
  • Ability to aid in capacity- building of staff
  • Good Computer Skills( MS Word & Excel; internet/email)
  • Drivers License
  • University education
  • Good command of English language and Fluent in Tetun

Our business was initially funded by a private donor and, until now, has been managed by an overseas volunteer. This successful business is now two and half years old and is almost self-sufficient. Our original aims were to provide employment in Timor Leste and to offer training, develop skills, mentoring and capacity building to staff; to provide an outlet for sales of craft items made in Timor Leste; to find export markets to these products. We are a “not-for- profit “organization, all profits remain within the business, with any excess going to support staff and local community projects

Salary to be negotiated – up to US$500/month depending on Experience and Skills
