Livestock Facilitator (1 Position)

Purpose of the Position


Under the direction of the Project Coordinator and Facilitator, ensure that the project is implemented effectively, based on the project design and budget.

Major Responsibilities

Project implementation:
·         Provide input into the annual operation plan (POA) and detailed implementation plan (DIP) based on the project design.
·         Liaise with the community and government authorities regarding project.
·         Train farmers: Increase livestock farmers’ knowledge and skills primarily through providing field training (training green grass, procurement medicines treatment farmer practices).
·         Make sure that livestock farmer group plant fodder green for cows
·         Identify and establish livestock farmers group, demonstrate better technologies
·         Weekly activity schedule and monthly reports submitted. Produce weekly schedule for submitting to IGP PC
·         Innovation and improvement. Make recommendations on continuous improvement of the processes.
·         Improvement of technical knowledge through reading, study and participation in trainings. Reads handouts, information from websites, books and other information relevant to increasing knowledge and performance excellence

Reporting, Monitoring & Evaluation:
·         Develop monthly work plans and submit these to Project IGP Coordinator.
·         Assist the M&E Coordinator, Project Coordinator, and the community in data collection for project assessments, proposals, budgets, monitoring and evaluation.
·         Provide input into M&E framework.
·         Provide input into the midterm and final evaluation of the project.
·         Make recommendations on continuous improvement of processes.

Financial Management:
·         Provide input into annual budgets.
·         Manage and handle expenses related to the Project budget line to ensure optimal spending of funds, with the support of Project Coordinator.

Capacity development
·         Participate in the Performance Development Management (PDM) System.
·         Assume personal responsibility for career development, and improve technical knowledge through reading, on the job learning and training.
·         Be open to change, seek to continuously improve processes, and think creatively and innovatively.   

Other
·         Adhere to World Vision Core Values and Policies.
·         Follow any new procedures and guidelines designated in circulars from Country Director.
·         Comply with WVTL internal policies and procedures
·         Perform other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor. 


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:


Education
Tertiary education in relevant field
Desirable
Knowledge
Good presentation and communication skills for a number of different audiences
Required
Fluent in Tetum and/or Indonesian (Makassae’e, Uai-Mua’a)
Required
English language skills (can speak, read and understand English)
Preferred
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred
A driver’s license may be required

Minimum 2 years of work experience in related field

Work Environment
Will work with all strata of the village but with an emphasis on women and children.
The incumbent will provide guidance, support, coaching and mentoring to team members in the given focus area and ensure a culture of collaboration and communication is maintained.
