We are currently seeking a Chief of Party for an upcoming multiyear program in East Timor . The program will focus on conflict mitigation, peace-keeping and reconciliation. The position is contingent on ACDI/VOCA being awarded the activity and will be based in East Timor .
Regional and national candidates will be given priority.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership, management and general technical direction for the entire program.
- Identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate program adjustments.
- Monitor and approve overall project allocations and expenditures.
- Ensure project achieves monitoring and evaluation plan targets.
- Maintain strong relationships with home office, donor personnel, partners and collaborators and other associated stakeholders.
- Represent ACDI/VOCA and the project to the public and donor community.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of master’s degree in a related field is required.
- Minimum of five years’ experience managing and leading international development programs, especially programs related to conflict resolution and capacity building with local governments and NGOs.
- Strong management skills with ability to oversee activities in remote locations.
- Strong knowledge of conflict resolution methodologies.
