ACDI/VOCA currently has approximately 84 projects in 43 countries and revenues of $110 million.

Location: Timor-Leste

We are currently seeking a Chief of Party for an upcoming multiyear program in East Timor. The program will focus on conflict mitigation, peace-keeping and reconciliation. The position is contingent on ACDI/VOCA being awarded the activity and will be based in East Timor.
Regional and national candidates will be given priority.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide overall leadership, management and general technical direction for the entire program.
  • Identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate program adjustments.
  • Monitor and approve overall project allocations and expenditures.
  • Ensure project achieves monitoring and evaluation plan targets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with home office, donor personnel, partners and collaborators and other associated stakeholders.
  • Represent ACDI/VOCA and the project to the public and donor community.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of master’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience managing and leading international development programs, especially programs related to conflict resolution and capacity building with local governments and NGOs.
  • Strong management skills with ability to oversee activities in remote locations.
  • Strong knowledge of conflict resolution methodologies.
  • USAID experience preferred.
  • Experience in East Asia is highly preferred.
