Under the overall guidance of the Deputy Representative, you will be responsible for the development, design, planning, programming, implementation, management and monitoring of the Basic Education Programme.

Your profile:

  • Advanced university degree in education and/or social sciences in the related technical field. Post graduate degree preferable.
  • Eight years of progressive and responsible professional work experience in the area of Education Planning, Curriculum Development, Teacher Education and/or Human Resources Development at national and international levels. Must have experience in programme planning, management and monitoring and evaluation with special emphasis on strategic policy development and planning.
  • Knowledge of latest development and technology in Education.
  • Proven ability to conceptualise, plan and manage programme as well as to transfer knowledge and skills.
  • Leadership and organisational ability.
  • Good analytical, negotiation, communication and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to establish harmonious working relations in an international or multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of computer management and applications.
  • Fluency in English and another UN working language required. Knowledge of Portuguese and Indonesian is an asset.
