CWS Timor Leste is an international non-governmental development organization, working in various locations in East Timor with the aim of improving the lives of the poor and vulnerable, is searching an East Timorese National for Project Manager (PM) for Timor Leste office, based in Dili. Position Summary:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for all aspects of project implementation for Church World Service Timor Leste activities in designated program locations in East Timor. The PM leads the efforts on behalf of Church World Service Timor Leste to develop and implement programs that add value to the development efforts, achieve the greatest possible impact, and hold the agency accountable to donors, government, and communities. The PM reports directly to and assists the Country Director in the development and implementation of a strategy related to Programs in country. The PM also provides leadership and mentorship to all Program related staff.

Requirements:

- East Timorese National

- MA/S or equivalent in social science, development studies, management, international relations, Agricultures and Social Economy or other relevant field required.

- Minimum 3 years experience administering donor grants for a variety of sectoral areas for both relief and development initiatives required.

- Minimum 3 years demonstrated ability to implement a complex, diverse program, build staff capacity in cross-cultural settings as well as excellent team-building and interpersonal skills required.

- Minimum 3 years field experience in positions of increasing responsibility required

- Verifiable record of developing successful proposals for new projects and programs from conception to submission required.

- 3 years experience with donor requirements of USAID, UN, DFID, EU and private donors and foundations required.

- History of working effectively and respectfully with host country government, INGO and NGO partners required.

- Excellent verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.

- Good command of verbal and written English required.

- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications is a must.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to motivate/counsel program staff.

- Leadership knowledge and skills
