General Description:

Information Technology Assistant – This role provides general IT support and limited training for clients, provide limited solution using standard technology and implementation of IT system.

Information Technology Assistant located in country offices may also be assigned limited information management functions.

Job Purpose:

§ Maintains desktop and laptop computers, printers, software applications, copiers, telephone systems and other information/office technology within a work area to ensure that all IT-dependent activities continue to function without disruption.

§ Configures desktop and laptop computers with applications for Bank staff use in office or for travel on missions.

§ Provides clients with computer and network support in response to specific requests related to various Bank standard software and hardware, printing problems, computer viruses, network connection and usage and other IT-related matters.

§ Troubleshoots non-complex hardware and/or software problems. Responds to clients' requests for help, diagnoses problems, and identifies the appropriate resource to solve the problem if unable to resolve it him/herself.

§ Ensures that Bank information and information systems are protected in a manner consistent with Bank information security policy, procedures and standards.

§ Disseminates information about changes in the Bank's and unit's technology standards and policies.

§ Assist in the evaluation and procurement of information and office technology products and services.

§ Ensure all IT service requests are properly logged in the Bank's official IT Service Process Management - the Remedy System. Document and conduct follow-up action on all or any pending IT issue in the Country office.

Minimum Education/Experience at recruitment/selection

Minimum Education: HS (Training in computer systems and software)

Minimum Years of Relevant Experience: 4 Years in Information Management

Duration of Appointment

STT appointment (approximately 150 days) – with possibility of extension
