Plan Timor Leste wishes to recruit an experienced Grants Coordinator

Plan is an international NGO that works in over 45 countries to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of children, young people and families. It has been working in Timor since 2001.

The Grants Coordinator will be based at the Plan Country Office in Dili with some travel within Timor-Leste and possibly overseas.

Reporting to the Program Effectiveness Manager, the Grants Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

  • Support quality design, planning and reporting processes within Plan Timor-Leste, its program partners and local communities and ensure that the Country Office is complying with Plan International processes and best practice.
  • Monitor quality of reports and work with staff and partners to develop quality
  • Provide advice to the Program Effectiveness Manager and Human Resources Coordinator on training needs related to program design and grants issues
  • Network and seek to develop alliances with major stakeholders
  • Maintain a pro-active relationship with NOs and funding sources

The successful candidate will have:

· A university degree in social science, international development, international relations or related discipline; or equivalent work experience

· Minimum 2 years experience in community and / or international development

· Wide experience with preparing proposals with different formats, donors and funding types

· Wide experience in producing reports for different audiences

· Proficiency with Tetum and English essential; Portuguese and Indonesian well-viewed
